A new “slab art” installation has been installed in the back of the sanctuary with the help of Daniel Carlson and Bob Dachelet. Two more smaller slabs have been installed in the chapel downstairs. Daniel is a woodwork craftsman/artist that is well known for his wood work projects at homes in the area. He lives in Wayzata and has been coming to UUCM since July. He took the slabs of wood salvaged from the trees cut down on our building site to his workshop and crafted this work of art. Installation was quite the challenge given the industrial strength concrete wall but all worked out thanks to Daniel’s expertise and just the right tools!
