Dear Friends,
I am thrilled and honored to be invited to serve UUCM as your Developmental Minister! This is a strange and tender time to meet one another in the midst of a pandemic, but please know that I can’t wait to meet you and begin this journey with you.
Throughout the process with the Search Team, I could sense UUCM’s deep commitment to community and shared ministry, and your excitement about the possibilities of what the future might bring. I walked through your beautiful building and grounds and could see the love and dedication with which you have created a welcoming home for all. I heard the stories from the team about what drew them to UUCM for their first visit and what inspired them to stay. It is clear that you are a bright beacon of our faith as a congregation, and I look forward to exploring with you the ways in which our chalice flame can burn even brighter in hope and love in the Western suburbs.
I wanted to reach out to simply say thank you. Thank you to the Search Team and the Board for all their hard work in this process, and for the invitation to serve you. Thank you to the Interim Ministry Team (the beloved Troika!) for their wonderful ministry with you in these past 2 years. Thank you to each and every one of you for your trust and partnership, as we begin a new chapter in ministry together.
With gratitude and joy,
Lisa
Greetings, Lisa, I am looking forward to meeting with you next week. Your letter is a lovely expression of hope for us and for you… and for us together. Bev Montgomery
