Many thanks go out to the Worship Arts Team for the wonderful summer series on “This I Commit My Heart To,” and to all who have shared their stories! This week’s video reflects on the power of our personal credos. What does it mean to believe what we must in this moment in our world?

This weekly pastoral message by Rev. Lisa Friedman comes out on Wednesdays.
“Believe in what you must!” Thank you Rev. Lisa! You do a nice job of explaining what it means to practice our faith as UU. I commit my heart to creating a “Beloved Community” here and now.

I love the focus on determining one’s credo as a responsibility to be entrusted with – and to fulfill. I also appreciate that while Unitarian Universalism is “creedless”, this faith is not rudderless. Indeed, we have 7 principles that actually clearly outline what it is we collectively believe.
And oh goodness, please don’t make me go back to high school. 😉
