The UUCM Auction: An Annual Tradition with a new Twist

The UUCM Auction is held each year to create a fun community-building event for our members and friends, and to raise money for the UUCM General Fund. The Auction has grown to be one of the most anticipated events on the UUCM Social Calendar and our largest fundraiser. Last year we raised over $24,000.

Although our traditional evening of silent and live auctions at the church is not possible this year, the auction will still happen! The 2020 edition of the Annual UUCM Auction will have two parts. An online silent auction will run from October 30 through November 8. A live auction will be held via Zoom on Saturday evening, November 7th, at 6:30pm.

We hope you will participate in the auction fun. Put the dates on your calendar and plan to engage in both the online silent auction and the live auction event. And since the auction cannot happen without donations, please consider donating an item, event, or experience.

To make a donation, please click this link by Midnight on Sunday, October 25th.  You can find ideas for donations by browsing the past catalogs:

Auction Information and Brainstorming Sessions
We know that many of our usual events will need to be modified to fit with the new norms for social gatherings. If you would like some help in deciding how to offer a particular event, please reach out to the contacts below or plan to attend one of the upcoming “Auction Information and Brainstorming Sessions”.  These sessions will be offered via Zoom on October 11, 18, and 25 at 11:15am (following the service). Watch the upcoming church communications for more details and Zoom links.

We look forward to your participation in the auction.  If you have any questions, please contact Fred Hulting ( or Karen Hulting (
