UUCM became a member of Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative this year. Our community, along with over one hundred other faith communities in our state will be working together to ensure that all Minnesotans have a place to call home. It is important to note that having that many faith communities working together to address housing stability – a problem that affects all Minnesotans – will help give our collective voice the necessary volume needed for our leaders and other citizens to act. 2021 Legislative Launch & Action
Thursday, January 21 from 7:00 – 8:30 PM
As the 2021 Legislative year begins, Beacon will be hosting a virtual event with our legislators and legislative leaders asking for their support in “Bring It Home, MN“, a statewide rent subsidy program that, if enacted, will allow folks to pay no more than 30% of their income in rent. Your participation, even by just showing up, will emphasize the urgency of creating affordable housing for all our citizens to our elected leaders. Click here to learn more and register.
