Summer Online Collaborative Worship Series 2021

This summer, we are excited to join together with 7 other congregations throughout our MidAmerica region to share worship and community with one another. The creativity of online worship has allowed us to visit one another’s services from the comfort of our own homes and churches. In addition to enriching our summer, this collaboration will provide a well-deserved break for each congregation’s tech and worship volunteers and offer time to plan for the reopening to multi-platform worship in the Fall. Join us as we come together as Unitarian Universalists to share our search for truth and meaning, love and liberation!

LOGISTICS: All information and the Zoom link you will need to join each service will be in the Friday Update email newsletter (subscribe here, if you haven’t already). A UUCM staff member will be present at each online service and the tech support phone number is still available at 612-486-2705.
PLEASE NOTE: Start times will alternate between 10:00 AM or 10:30 AM depending on the host congregation. The start time will be posted prominently, keep an eye out for it!

SCHEDULE (Please note start time). More services will be posted throughout the summer, check back often!

“Yearning”
Is there a better answer to the question of, “How are you?” than busy, exhausted or overwhelmed? How could we be living a life with a different answer?

Sunday, June 27 at 10:00 AM (Gather starting at 9:30 AM)
Congregation: UUCM will share the UUA General Assembly Service – hosted by First Universalist Church of Minneapolis. Join us for the largest annual gathering of UUs joining in worship.
List of Presenters: Musicians, Franco Holder, Aimee K. Bryant, and Dr. Randal Buikema, and religious professionals, Lauren Wyeth, Julica Hermann de la Fuente, and Revs. Arif Mamdani (former Interim Minister at UUCM), Karen Hutt, and Jen Crow will lead the service.

Until Love Wins
Today’s challenging times require a nimble and resilient spirituality. We need a demanding, inspiring faith and a love strong enough that it will not let us go. Join us as we draw the circle wide, gather our strength, and promise to stay in the struggle and joy until love wins.

Sunday, July 4 at 10:30 AM (Gather starting at 10 AM)
Congregation: Minnesota Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Bloomington, MN
Worship Leader: Rev. Laura Thompson

“Declaration of Independence”
If this last year has taught us anything it is how deeply dependent we are on one another for our own well being. Changing our narrative from Independence to Interdependence might just be the shift we need for better living all around.

  1. Excited to see Arif in a few weeks! And I hope the UUCM tech/worship team can take a much needed break these next few weeks. Thanks for all you do!
