Learn more about class locations, curriculum and Covid-19 safety protocols below.

- 1st-6th Grade: Outdoor Classroom, lower-level entrance area. Please see additional notes below.
- 7th/8th Grade: Either in Elm or the Chapel (TBD)

In-Person RE and COVID-19 Protocol
Students 2 years old and older, and all adults, will wear masks and practice social distancing at all times.
Covid bathroom protocol: There are three bathrooms on the lower level for RE use. Each has only one stall, which will facilitate the use of them by only one person at a time. RE leaders will remind students to use the bathroom as efficiently as possible. Anyone not comfortable with their child using the bathrooms on the lower level can contact Jennifer (firstname.lastname@example.org) to discuss options.
Covid plan for snacks: In response to the feedback from families, individually-packaged snacks will be served, with the use of hand sanitizer (except for those with allergies or sensitivities). Families are welcome to send a snack with their child if they prefer. Please note that RE areas are Nut Free Zones- only nut-free food is allowed.
Covid plan for supplies: In response to the feedback from families, supplies (like markers) will be shared. Parents who prefer are welcome to send their own supplies specifically for their child’s use. Or, if requested, Jennifer can create a pack of supplies for a specific child, from the RE closet.
Outdoor RE for 1st-6th Graders: We have a wonderful paved area outside the lower level entrance that is walled in on three sides. We have tarped it for rain and will prep it each Sunday with tables, chairs and supplies for our 1st-6th graders. At this point, Outdoor RE for 1st-6th is rain or shine. If you have children in this age group, please make sure they are dressed for the weather, with shoes and multiple layers of clothing (and if needed, rain gear, including rain boots). Please also keep in mind that we will make good use of the whole of our fantastic outdoor space each Sunday, so play clothes that can get dirty are preferred.
Curriculum and Staffing Notes:
Nursery-Kindergarten: students will use the Soul Matters curriculum (which follows our worship themes). The paid childcare staff person will focus on the infants and toddlers while the PreK/K Teacher will focus on the older kids. NOTE: All kids and adults will wear masks, except for children under 2 years old. Social-distancing will be practiced as much as possible, but can not be guaranteed for this age group.

3rd/4th Grade RE: students will use the Soul Matters curriculum all year.
