Proceeds Support the Upcoming UUCM Youth ASP Trip
The Climate Justice Committee will be collecting aluminum cans and any products that contain metal – lawn mowers, snow blowers, BBQ grills, washers, dryers, lead acid batteries, fishing lead weights, wire of all kinds, electric motors, electric extension cords, bikes, exercise equipment, and many more. Visit their website for the complete list of acceptable AND not accepted items: expressmetals.net.
This collection will support the Youth at UUCM as they prepare for their summer Appalachia Service Project (ASP) trip and help the environment. There are three ways you can participate. Contact Marlys Johnson or Sue Asinger with any questions.
- Bring the items to the church on the designated spring collection day (date to be announced).
- Arrange for us to pick up the items to haul to the Express Metals Recycling Center. If you want it out of the garage before the collection day, we will pick it up but it must fit in an SUV.
- Take items to the Express Metals yourself and mention the UUCM-Youth Group. Their address is 8094 Excelsior Blvd, Hopkins, MN, phone (952) 515-6066.
