PNHP Minnesota is the Minnesota branch of Physicians for a National Health Program (over 12,000 members) whose purpose is to establish universal single payer health care in MN and in the United States. Their primary purpose is to educated health care workers and the general public about the importance of M4A (Medicare for All Program). Donations will help organize physicians, health professionals, and the public in support of this healthcare reform. UUCM member, Dr. John Crosson shares more details on current progress below.

Minnesota is well on the way to getting health care for all residents of the state, when they need it, at an affordable price. This is because there is now a strong caucus in both the MN Senate and House supporting the Minnesota Health Plan and they will be visiting this fall critical areas in greater MN to push this bill.

PNHP-MN is one of two organizations that has been instrumental in getting us this far. We had a very active year last year by getting the word out. We tabled at Pride festival, Farm fest and the State Fair. We gave a number of presentations. Most importantly we put on a seven week educational course for 17 medical students between their first and second year along with some graduate students from the school of public health. As a result of this course, the students have become strong advocates for the MHP and will be the force behind getting universal single payer health care in Minnesota in the next few years. All donations to PNHP go toward continuing support of our activities.
