UUCM is adding a new musical ensemble to its roster! Over the past few years this smaller choral ensemble has operated independently thanks to the generous leadership of Noel Martinson and now it is becoming an official UUCM program. The Vocal Ensemble (VE) will be what is known as a “project choir,” meaning that it will not rehearse regularly, only meeting for ad hoc rehearsals in preparation for specific performances, and it will specialize in performing renaissance and contemporary music. This will be an auditioned ensemble and members will need to demonstrate a moderate degree of music reading ability and vocal autonomy. Currently, the VE is scheduled to perform on Sunday, December 15th of this year and will have one or two additional performances in the spring.
