UUCM Midweek Message | 8/15/2024

In this week’s Question Box, Rev Lisa explores: “As a chosen faith, why do our young adults eschew “church”? I’m thinking about my own experiences with mine—whom I KNOW are partly the adults they are because of the UUCM community, but who have no desire to “go to church”. Is this just a UU thing or does it happen in every denomination/ faith tradition? Have we failed as parents or as a congregation when our young people don’t continue on as active participants? How do we know?”

Announcing the 2024 Fall Gala (formerly the UUCM Auction)!

The 2024 edition of our annual Fall fundraiser, with the theme of “Making Space for All”, will again blend in-person and on-line bidding events to raise money for the UUCM operating budget. Join us at church on November 2nd for food, music, fun, and live bidding on donated items. You may also participate in online bidding from October 25th through November 3rd. Visit the Fall Gala website at https://charityauction.bid/uucm2024 to learn more. Your donations of items, services, and events are what enables us to raise money, so please consider making a donation using this online form. Questions? Contact Karen or Fred Hulting. (Note: Inspired by UUCM’s commitment to anti-racism, the committee has decided to stop using the word “auction” to describe this event).
