Join the city of Minnetonka for Everything Electric on July 16 from 2-6 p.m. at Ridgedale Commons! They’ll have many electric vehicles to test drive (including e-bikes), various solar options, electric yard equipment and information on how to increase your energy efficiency to save money on your bills.
First Universalist Church of Minneapolis is hosting two OWL facilitator trainings on August 2-4, 2024. An elementary training (for grades K-1 and 4-6) as well as an all-adult level training (young adult, adult, and older adult) will be offered and will be in person. If you are interested in receiving this training, please let Karen Heuiser know soon as spots often fill quickly. UUCM will pay for your training if you teach OWL at UUCM in the future. Since we just completed OWL this past RE year, the next OWL programming is planned for 2026.

Did you miss last week’s Decade’s Service? Ellie Kendall shared “A Ditty on Aging” as one of several reflections on the lessons learned and wisdom gained through aging. You can watch a recording of the entire service here.
Vista 44 is now open, and residents will begin moving in the first week of July. UUCM members are now invited to bring any future donations directly to Vista 44 in Hopkins during their operating hours. Donations will no longer be stored at UUCM as residents need them now. Thank you to everyone who has already dropped items off at UUCM – it helped tremendously while Vista 44 was still under construction. All of the donations have already been moved to Vista 44 and placed in units. If you would like to see what items are still needed to help additional families move in, a list of needed supplies is listed here. Supplies will continue to be needed and accepted at Vista 44. Please contact Sue Fust with questions.
