In the Community: Opportunities to Go Solar!

Earth Day is coming up and that means it’s a perfect time to go solar! And you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. Two organizations that care about the planet are working together to make solar for homeowners easy and low cost. MN Interfaith Power & Light and Solar United Neighbors have created buyers’ groups (aka Solar Co-ops) that offer free education and guidance and more competitive pricing from installers. You can join a Solar Co-op for free, find out if solar is a good fit for your home, and get a discounted price from a vetted, trusted installer. Click here to join or learn more about the Twin Cities Solar United Co-op!

Amateur Music Guild Tonight!

Musicians of all levels, please join us tonight at 6:30 for the first meeting of our all-ages amateur music guild! This is a cozy gathering where we can share music we’ve been practicing in an informal, supportive setting. We can also explore jamming on songs together or singing in harmony, and we will plan monthly themes like folk music or Rock & Roll. All instruments and voices are welcome. We’ll meet on the 3rd Friday of each month. Let’s collaborate and grow as musicians in a friendly environment! Please contact Eric Johnson or Alicia Cozine with any questions.

Tomorrow Night: Dino Cluub Planting Party!

Come and get your hands dirty tomorrow night! We’ll be planting seeds, and adding splashes of color to both your landscaping and UUCM’s! We’ll also hear the story behind our red geranium garden, and learn how it was started by one of our members! If you want to come for pizza at 5:30, RSVP to Karen by Friday (4/19) at noon. We’ll begin planting at 6 and have plenty of seedlings for you to take home with you!
