The 2024-25 Stewardship Campaign: Please Join In!

Our annual stewardship campaign “Living Generously,” is underway, and now is the time to make your pledge in support of the continued growth of our UUCM community and its ministry.

To learn more, read the Happenings article and consider attending an upcoming Stewardship Information Session via Zoom  on April 16th, or 25th, or at church after the service on April 14th. Links for each session will appear in the Friday update.

When you are ready, please make your pledge and help us reach our goal of 125 pledges and $410,000. Then, provide valuable feedback to church leaders by completing the 20-minute Congregational Survey. Thank you for your support!

Two Stewardship Information Sessions this Week!

Come discuss current activities and future plans, learn about the campaign and our new Breeze online giving platform, and get your questions answered. An in-person session will be held after the service at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 14th in the Sanctuary or please join us on Zoom on April 16th at 6:30 p.m. For audio only, call (312) 626-6799 and enter meeting ID: 997 6659 5448 Passcode: 206719.

Explore Membership at UUCM!

Whether you are interested in becoming a member of our congregation, or if you simply would like to know more about the history and principles of Unitarian Universalism, and/or the structure of our UUCM church community, you’re welcome to join us for one of our upcoming classes. There’s no need to pre-register.

  • History of Unitarian Universalism
    • Sunday, April 14, 11:15am in the Oak Room in the lower level of the church
    • Monday, May 20, 6:30pm (to approx. 7:30/8:00) on Zoom
  • UUCM and “How We Work”
    • Monday, May 13, 6:30pm (to approx. 7:30/8:00) on Zoom

There’s no creed, covenant or statement of faith to profess as a requirement of membership. In these in person and online classes, participants have an opportunity to share more deeply their individual spiritual journeys and to explore whether Unitarian Universalism and/or membership in UUCM is a fit for them. We’ll respond to your questions and explore information and opportunities to learn, grow, and participate at UUCM. You’re warmly welcome to become a member of UUCM after you attend both the history and UUCM classes. Please email Emma to get the class materials if you plan to attend on Zoom.

Youth Group Scavenger Hunt!

The Youth Group Scavenger Hunt is coming up April 20 from 3-6 p.m. Youth in grades 8-12 are invited to come to UUCM for a scavenger hunt on UUCM’s grounds as we try to outwit one another! Come for the challenge and stay for some pizza with friends. Youth are also invited to attend the Social Justice Rally beforehand and are welcome to come a few minutes late to UUCM. Please RSVP to Malia Brandt by Thursday, April 18.
