Join the Housing Justice Team at the upcoming monthly Beacon Rent is Due Call. It’s a gathering of folks from many places of worship to help us all learn how to help move the legislature to provide the funding needed to provide housing supports for all Minnesotans. It takes place on the first Wednesday of every month from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Please click here to sign up for the event on June 4. UUCM played a big part in getting approval for Beacon’s new Prairie Pointe housing development in Shakopee. Join is at the groundbreaking May 5 at 3:30 p.m. Please click here to register.
UUCM will be doing another drive for Vista 44, Beacon’s supportive housing development in Hopkins. Items needed include: paper goods, diapers and wipes, toiletries, cleaning supplies baby items, kids room items (crayons, markers, blocks, etc.). Please bring them the next few Sundays through May and June and place them in the community room. You’re also welcome to join a tour of Vista 44 on July 23 at 1 p.m. Please click here to sign up to attend.
As we explore April’s theme of joy, Rev. Lisa guides us in a meditation for finding joy in the everyday elements of the earth. Please click image below to view message.

The UUA General Assembly is right around the corner. Each congregation is able to register members as delegates to represent and vote within the gatherings. UUCM can register up to 5 voting delegates in addition to our staff spots. UUCM is using a repeatable process for recruiting and registering delegates; you just need to complete the interest form at the end of this notice. We would love for more people to get involved in our Democratic process. Please click here to learn more about the plans for GA and what to expect at our annual gathering.
GA will be held June 18-22 and will be a hybrid event in Baltimore MD. The registration fee is $475 if you sign up before May 14th. A business only sign up option is available for $150. Because we don’t want the cost to prohibit your potential participation, the Board has authorized a stipend of $150 per person, up to 5 people. The gathering will offer business meetings, lectures, and content along with a Sunday morning service. Please click here to view the schedule of events and activities.
Those serving as our voting delegates will meet with Rev. Lisa in advance for information on what to expect and answer any questions you have. If you’re interested in representing UUCM please click here to fill out our survey.
