UUCM Parking Reminders

UUCM is seeing more in-person attendance, and sometimes our parking
situation can be challenging on Sunday mornings, especially when there is
snow. Here is how you can help:

  • Come early. Please avoid the last-minute rush and allow yourself time
to find parking and make you way into church.
  • Reduce the number of cars. For households, take one car if possible, or
park one car offsite. Consider carpools with friends.
  • Park offsite. If you can come early and are able to walk, please park
away from church. There are two main options:
  • You can park in the grass out lot to the left of the driveway,
keeping cars in two rows close to UUCM (see map). Never block
access to neighbors’ driveway. Note that in the winter there are
    fewer spaces.
  • You can also park east of the church along Wayzata Blvd between
Crosby and Holdridge Terrace, on the south side in front of the
    houses (see map).
  • Park safely onsite. Please only park in a designated parking spot unless
directed elsewhere by one of our parking attendants. Also, please leave
the upper parking lot spaces for our older or less able members and
friends those who need to be close.
Thank you for your help and your patience as we continue to look at ways
to improve our parking situation. If you have any concerns, please send
your comments and suggestions to the church at office@uucmtka.org.

UU the Vote Update!

Mike Elliott is still collecting the last postcards from our UU the Vote campaign! He’ll be mailing them out Tuesday, September 17, which is National Voter Registration Day. Early voting in Minnesota starts Friday, September 20. The Minnesota Secretary of State’s website has great information on voting.

Mike will be at UUCM on Sunday to collect any remaining postcards. He’ll also have a box available for you to drop off your packet in the Community Room. Look for the UU the Vote sign.

50 congregants participated in signing 5,910 postcards. Many of you did numerous packets. Thank you to eeryone who participated to help encourage others to use their vote in creating a more just world!
