Trans-Inclusive Theology & Community Practices Workshop

Our neighbors at St. Luke Presbyterian are hosting a workshop on Saturday, May 31 called “An Introduction to Trans-Inclusive Theology & Community Practices.” In this all-day program, Dr. Miche van Essen from Transmission Ministry will help us in our journey to “walk the walk” and become faith communities where trans and gender-expansive community members are loved, cared for and free to share their unique gifts. Please click here to learn more and register. 

Upcoming Beacon Events

Join the Housing Justice Team at the upcoming monthly Beacon Rent is Due Call. It’s a gathering of folks from many places of worship to help us all learn how to help move the legislature to provide the funding needed to provide housing supports for all Minnesotans. “Religion, Racism & Reconciliation” Film Screening

Join the UUCM Housing Justice Team at a film screening for “Religion, Racism and Reconciliation.” It’s a groundbreaking documentary that explores the ways in which racism intertwined with American religion. It follows the stories of individuals and communities of faith who have engaged in addressing the issues of systemic racism, including voting rights, income inequality, and mass incarceration.  Saturday, May 3, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church of Plymouth, one of our partner churches. Please click here to register.
