There’s new progress on the Mills Church Housing Project in Minnetonka. The City Council just voted to approve the plan earlier this month. Our UUCM Housing Justice Team has been part of the effort to make this project come to life. Check out this Star Tribune article for more information on where the effort stands now and the next steps.

Plymouth Affordable Housing Meeting
Tuesday, May 28 at 7:00 p.m. the Plymouth City Council will be considering a policy/ordinance that proposes housing developers building in Plymouth would include some affordable housing in their project. The discussion is about whether this should just be a non-mandatory policy, or an Ordinance, which makes it more enforceable. Showing up at the meeting in your blue Beacon or Love Makes Room shirts, or any blue shirt will show the City Council affordable housing is a “must,” not an option. In the Community: “Things With Wings!”

Come support our UUCM friend Barbara Ryan this weekend! She’s hosting an art show called “Things with Wings!” on May 11 from 9-4. The open house will be at Kelley & Kelley Nursery Landscape Design in Long Lake.
