Ridwell Reminder!

Our featured items for our November 18 pickup are plastic jar or bottle tops, bottle caps (including flip top caps and pouch caps) and aerosol tops. Ridwell is also picking up political lawn signs, which will be repurposed. Please bring only current featured items and leave others at home until future pick ups. Come for Ridwell prep party November 18 too! Bring the usual threads and shoes, styrofoam tied up in plastic bag, multi-layer and plastic film as well as lightbulbs, Your Climate Justice team thanks YOU! Election Day: Tuesday, November 5!

Election Day is coming up Tuesday, November 5! It’s a time that can be full of a lot of emotions. The UUA wants our broader UU community to be prepared to face the future with clarity and courage. Housing Justice Opportunity

Minnesotans can make a contribution of between $1,000 and $2,000,000 to the State Housing Tax Credit Program between now and December 29, 2023, and receive 85% of that contribution returned to them as a tax credit on Minnesota income taxes. You can designate one of Beason’s supportive housing developments to be the recipient. Last year the state gave Beacon money for 3 of their developments: $100,500 for Prairie Pointe, $37,250 for Bimosedaa, and $1,000 for Emerson Village. Please consider contributing funds this year and designating one of Beacon’s projects. Read more details here.
