Vista 44 is now open, and residents will begin moving in the first week of July. UUCM members are now invited to bring any future donations directly to Vista 44 in Hopkins during their operating hours. Donations will no longer be stored at UUCM as residents need them now. Thank you to everyone who has already dropped items off at UUCM – it helped tremendously while Vista 44 was still under construction. All of the donations have already been moved to Vista 44 and placed in units. If you would like to see what items are still needed to help additional families move in, a list of needed supplies is listed here. Supplies will continue to be needed and accepted at Vista 44. Please contact Sue Fust with questions.

UU the Vote Postcard Campaign Update
Democracy is an important value of being a Unitarian Universalist. UUCM is partnering with Minnesota Unitarian Universalist Social Justice Alliance (MUUSJA) and the UU the Vote campaign to encourage people to vote.
MUUSJA‘s goal is to mail 70,000 postcards to contact 150,000 voters in the state of Minnesota. These postcards are targeted to renters in about 15 cities. These are cities where the election was decided by as little as 200 votes. As of this Friday, June 14, 2,370 postcards have been distributed so far.
Mike Elliott is continuing to distribute packets of postcards from UUCM that will be mailed on September 17 en masse. Please return the completed postcards to Mike, so they can all be mailed together. The packets contain 60 postcards (or more if you’d like!), pre-printed address labels and instructions on how to fill them out.
If you’d like to add your own postcard stamp, that would be great! You can also help contribute at www.muusja.org/donate and mark it “in honor of UU the Vote” to help cover the cost of postage. If you need Mike to deliver a postcard packet to your home or have any other questions please contact him at MikeElliott05@msn.com.
