This summer, UUCM’s accounting firm sent a film crew to interview Rev. Lisa and feature our congregation’s story as an example of the non-profits they support. We are glad to share the video they produced about our wonderful community!

UUCM Auction: Your Donations Are Key to Success!

Our annual in-person live and silent auction is coming up November 4. The online auction is open October 27 to November 5. You can help make the auction a success by donating your items, services, or events using the easy online form. Not sure what to donate? Check out UUCM Happenings to find links to past catalogs and to get more details on the auction. Or check out the auction table in the community room or reach out Karen Hulting to discuss your ideas. Don’t forget to join us Saturday, November 4 to help us celebrate the “Roaring 20’s” and raise money to support UUCM’s mission!
The Climate Justice Committee Was Busy This Summer!
Committee members spent time getting educated about commercial recycling and composting and demonstrating for environment protection. A group of 12 toured the Shakopee Mdewankanan Sioux Community Compost facility, more than 20 toured the Eureka Recycling facility in Minneapolis and several attended the gathering to support closure of HERC. Check out some of the pictures from their work this summer and read their reflections below.
We gathered reflections from those who attended the tour of the Eureka Recycling facility in Northeast Minneapolis. Here’s a compellation of a few of them below:
Holiday Play Information Meeting

THIS SUNDAY: Holiday Play Information Meeting! It’s not a typo… We’ll be meeting about a month earlier than usual this Sunday, September 24 at 11:30 a.m. Our esteemed playwright, Jeffrey Hatcher, will generously continue a beloved UUCM tradition this holiday season. Per usual, two performances will be on Sunday, December 17. NOT per usual: Rehearsals will be held the week of November 12 and then will pick up again for show week starting at about December 9. We need both on-stage performers and behind-the-scenes help.
Come to the meeting Sunday to learn how you can be part of performing a show with only two weeks of rehearsals! If you can’t be at the info meeting but are interested, contact Karen Zais. For newcomers: Jeff writes and directs a holiday play for UUCMers of all ages, regardless of their theater experience. Last year, almost 50 congregants participated in one way or another! All are welcome! Join in the fun!
