Registration is now open for this summer’s training session being held August 18-20 atFirst Unitarian Society of Minneapolis. This training will be for grades 7-9/10-12. Another training will happen November 3-5 for the Elementary Facilitator training. Please let Karen Heuiser know ASAP if you are interested in attending either one of these training sessions and teaching OWL next year. Sessions do fill up quickly. Thank you!
Please enjoy our new beanpole teepee located down by the firepit! Huge thanks to Bob Dachelet who dug out the foundation and mulched the area so vines can grow up the poles and offer a sweet little spot for children to relax and enjoy nature. Please tread carefully around the tender shoots so they can continue to grow throughout the summer. Thank you!
June brings the summer solstice and we delight in the fullness of the sun. To celebrate this cosmic event, we’ll have at-home resource materials available in the Community Room on Sunday, June 18. Thank you to Jeff Adrian for his incredible photography at our UUCM Flower Communion earlier this month! This year marked the 100th anniversary of the uniquely Unitarian Universalist ritual. Czech Unitarian minister Norbert Čapek created this simple but powerful ceremony to celebrate the intrinsic beauty of each of us and the delight and hope we create when we come together in community.
