January 6: All Ages Game Night

Friday, January 6 from 6-8 pm
Soon it will be a brand new year! This game night we’ll feature an old favorite, Mexican Train Dominoes, and pair it with a newer game made popular by the pandemic, Kahoot! Bring your cell phone for the latter and we’ll team up to battle for a special trophy!

Pizza dinner will be at 5 and will be delivered as our stove just can’t keep up with the demand. A $3-$4 donation ($8 family max) will be requested if coming for dinner, and/or feel free to bring treats or drinks to share. An RSVP by noon on Jan. 6 is required for pizza only. Email Karen a dre@uucmtka.org.

UUCM Mid-Week Message 12/14/22

This week’s message shares a recording of UUCM’s Blue Holiday service, which offers a time of music, poetry, and reflection amid the struggles of this season. We invite you to step away from all the noise, flurry, and challenge of these days, to enter a quiet, peaceful space where nothing is required of you. May you feel the strength and support of your UUCM community from our hearth to yours.

You are also invited to view details about upcoming Holiday Events and Services at UUCM, below the video message.

THIS Sunday, December 18: Holiday Play at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. Enjoy this year’s performance, by Jeffrey Hatcher: A new holiday comedy centered on a Christmas tree that is brought in, set up and decorated during the course of the 60-minute show. The tree is always the same, but the setting changes…and hilarity ensues.

Wednesday, December 21: Solstice Service at 6:30 p.m. Celebrate the longest night of the year–and the gifts of darkness and rest–at our Winter Solstice ritual.

Saturday, December 24: Candlelight Christmas Eve Service at 4:00 p.m. Amid song and story, we gather to remember that “each night a child is born is a holy night.” Hear the ancient story told anew and reclaim the vision of love and hope coming into the world once  more.
