
The 2024 UUCM Fall Gala is here! Online bidding starts Oct 25th, Live Event on Nov 2nd!
It is time! Get ready to have some fun, make connections with others in the church, and raise money to support the UUCM mission. Here is how to get started:
Visit the Gala Website here. The website has the latest gala information and the catalog of all the items available for online, paper, or live bidding. It is also where you will bid on the online items. Have questions? Email us at uucm2024fallgala@gmail.com or see the “Help Documents” on the gala website.
Bid on more than 100 Online Items from October 25 to November 3 at 5:00 p.m. Visit the gala website and click on the “Online Bidding” link. In order to bid, you must either log into your account from last year, or register for an account (using the “Online Registration” link at the site). Detailed bidding instructions are available on the gala web site under “Help Documents.” Payment by check or credit card will be arranged after the bidding ends.
Attend the In-Person Gala Event at church on Saturday, November 2, at 5:30 p.m. Food, friends, beverages, live music, and live and paper bidding will make for a fun evening. Childcare is provided. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for silent paper bidding, and the live program starts at 6:30 p.m. This a “come as you are” event, but for some attendees there is a tradition of dressing for the theme. This year, your outfit could be anything associated with space and space travel: galaxies, stars, and planets; creatures and characters from a galaxy far, far, away; astronauts; or space engineers (ala “Apollo 13” or “Hidden Figures”). No matter how you are dressed, we hope you will join us!
If you cannot attend in-person, you may also participate in the live bidding via Zoom. The Zoom link will be shared via the UUCM Friday Update on November 1st and will be posted on the gala web site prior to the event.
Get familiar with Bidding: There are three ways to bid on our donated items: Online, Silent, and Live. Bidding is different for each.
Online Bidding: Bidding happens through the website. Available online from October 25 until November 3 at 5:00 p.m. You will need to use the “Sign-In” link above to bid on these items. If you have not registered for a previous UUCM event, please use the “Online Registration” link above to create an account.
Paper Bidding: In-person bidding at church on November 2. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. All bidding is in-person using paper bid sheets. No online or zoom bidding. Items are listed in the online catalog, with “Paper” in the item title.
Live Bidding: In-Person and Zoom bidding on November 2, 6:30 p.m. You may participate in bidding either in-person at church, or online via Zoom. Items are listed in the online catalog, with “Live” in the item title. Zoom details will be available on November 1. Live bidding will require you to turn on your video in Zoom.
